The HPV vaccine is over 90% effective.
However, currently, the HPV vaccination is low for the State of Alabama. While Alabama is doing better on completing other important vaccinations for disease prevention, HPV remains at 62% completion rate for the target range. That is, that the vaccinations have all been completed and up to date. We need to do better to reach the Healthy People 2030 target of 80%.
