Impact Updates

We have now trained:

605 Providers & Staff, at 134 Practices, in 42 Counties

May was a busy month!

We implemented our HPV Vaccination Provider Training and QI Project with 3 Children's of Alabama pediatric practices. Many thanks to Pediatrics West - McAdory (Bessemer), Over the Mountain Pediatrics (Birmingham), and Physicians to Children (Montgomery) for partnering with us to increase HPV vaccination rates in their clinics.

You can continue to make a life-saving impact.
By becoming a monthly donor, you provide steady support that helps us reach more families, educate more communities, and prevent more cancers year-round.

A Shot at Prevention Luncheon

Birmingham, 4.14.26

The 5th Annual A Shot at Prevention Luncheon was an inspiring event as we came together to advance our mission of preventing HPV cancers. Community leaders, healthcare providers, and vaccine advocates were among the 100 guests who enjoyed a delicious meal and an absolutely inspiring program.

We were honored to hear from Linda Eckert, MD (leading expert in cervical cancer prevention) and Dani Odom (cervical cancer survivor), whose powerful messages reinforced the importance of early vaccination and screening.

The event would not have been possible without our incredible Prevention Partners. We are deeply grateful for their continued support and commitment to our mission.

Together, we raised $27,500 to support our programs expanding HPV vaccination, education, and cancer prevention efforts across Alabama. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the cause. You are a driving force for our work—we couldn’t do it without you.

Survivor Story: Susie Sanchez

Susie is an anal cancer survivor, HPV awareness advocate, author, and former NFL cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders. After being diagnosed with anal cancer caused by HPV in 2021, she became passionate about sharing her story to educate others about HPV-related cancers and the importance of vaccination and early prevention. Now in remission, Susie uses her platform to inspire others through advocacy, public speaking, and her memoir, The Dream Lived, which highlights resilience, determination, and overcoming challenges.
